Street racers love to run their mouths. Some talk about these “fast” cars they have at home. In other words, most of the talkers are usually too big for their britches. This leads us to a man who was too good for any britches at all. Surprisingly enough in Texas, a man was arrested for street racing without pants.
The driver, Stephen Stradley, was racing his 1999 Chevrolet Corvette. It was the middle of the night and with low visibility, you wouldn’t be surprised to find out he crashed the car. The other car involved was a 2008 Dodge Caliber. That was surely a mismatched race.
Police arrived on the scene and arrested Stradley. The police department at one point had 10 cruisers on site. Police stated that Stradley’s eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred. A field sobriety test was given but he failed. Soon after the test, he admitted to having around 3-4 drinks. Stradley was transported to a local hospital to undergo a blood test for his intoxication level.
Police are still investigating the case but are sure that he will be charged with at least street racing without pants. Stradley has 2 prior DWI convictions, one in 1996 in Amarillo and one in 2003 in Wichita Falls.
