The rule of thumb is that parts for a boat are usually double that for a car. A youtuber was filming while on a Fluid 10m boat. After being impressed by how the boat handled, the speed and the electronics tragedy struck.
The captain was pushing the boat at full speed when one of the motor came unbolted from the hull. The captain decided that it was in the best interests to disconnect the failed motor. After grabbing his tools he disconnected the motor completely and it sunk to the ocean floor. Luckily no one was hurt.
Unfortunately our guess is that the motor would have been worth around $20,000. Hopefully this company learns from it’s mistakes and prevents things like this in the future.
