Turns out a snorkel doesn’t save you from getting swept away. One Nissan Navara owner finds out.

If you want to drive your vehicle in deep water it’s best to get a snorkel. With a snorkel your vehicle can get the air it needs to run properly. As long as it’s sealed and the inlet stays above water you should be good. Unless the there is a strong current as this one owner finds out.

There has been tons of rainfall in the UK. The storm, which has been named “Dennis”, has taken the lives of several people, it has flooded houses, businesses and vehicles. Well one driver though that because his Nissan Navara had a snorkel that it would be capable enough to drive through the water.

As emergency responders work nearby the truck slowly inches into the water. You can see as some of the onlookers shake their heads. It all seems ok until the truck drives deeper. Water pushes the tail end of the truck and it looses traction.

One of the rescue works throws up his hands as to say “What’d you expect?” It’s not too sure if they were able to rescue the vehicle. Although it goes to show that you should avoid driving through standing water. You don’t know how deep it is. If the water is moving you don’t know if the current has enough power to drag you away. Would you ever drive in this high of water? Leave us a comment below.
