Many know that parking in front of a hydrant is illegal. Not only is it against the law but it also keeps firefighters from containing fires in a timely manner. Well a Nissan owner in Anaheim California parked in front of a fire hydrant. There was a fire across the street so the local fire department broke the windows of the individual’s car and put the hose through the vehicle.
Ever wonder what happens when a car is parked in front of a fire hydrant and a fire breaks out? Is a closer parking spot worth the broken windows and the citation and towing fees to @AnaheimPD? @City_of_Anaheim residents please do not park in fire lanes pic.twitter.com/Q96E4gfTOR

This tweet sparked some outrage on social media. Some users stated that the Fire Department could have the hose running over the car while others stated that the driver shouldn’t have broken the law in the first place.
